They say love is hard to find. But that’s not quite true, is it?
Love is everywhere — in flirty texts, in long stares, in moments that feel like fate. It’s easy to fall in love. It’s easy to say “I miss you.” It’s even easy to mean it.
But commitment? That’s different. Commitment costs something.
It requires emotional maturity. Self-awareness. The willingness to stand in the fire of real intimacy, not just the high of connection. It requires consistency. Vulnerability. A man choosing you when it’s no longer convenient.
Love can be spontaneous. Commitment is sacred.
And too many women — maybe even you — have confused the two.
💔 Why Does This Hurt So Much?
Because he meant it. He said he loved you. Maybe he even showed it… in moments. But then, he started to pull away.
He breadcrumbed you. He left just enough to keep you hoping, but never enough to make you feel secure. He kept you in the waiting room while he “figured it out.” He said “I don’t want anything serious right now,” after months of depth, passion, and what felt like soulmate energy.
And your nervous system — craving consistency, craving home — stayed.
You stayed, hoping love would be enough.
But here’s the truth: A man can love you and still not choose you. A man can desire you, be obsessed with you, even miss you, and still not commit.
Not because you’re not enough. But because he was never ready to give everything.
The Dark Truth About Men (No One Wants to Say)
I’ve heard it from male coaches. I’ve lived it in my own heartbreak. I’ve seen it in the quiet stories my clients are too ashamed to speak aloud:
Men pursue the woman they can’t quite have. They want to win the prize. And when a woman gives her heart too quickly — when she’s too emotionally available — many men feel they didn’t earn her. And suddenly, the value they once saw in her begins to erode.
It’s primal. Unconscious. And yes, deeply unfair.
We are told not to play games and I agree. But if your nervous system is wide open and nurturing from day one, and his is still in hunting mode…you are easy prey. This is not a game. It is survival.
You’ll end up loving him while he’s still trying to decide if you’re the one he wants to catch.
Watch His Actions, Not His Promises
He says, “I don’t want to lose you.” But does he choose you?
He tells you, “You’re everything I’ve ever wanted.” But is he consistent?
He talks about a future… But leaves you confused in the present.
This is what emotional unavailability really looks like: Big declarations. Little follow-through.
