Healing Through Descent, Shadow, and Sacred Rebirth

There’s a reason the myth of Persephone has always resonated so deeply with me.
It’s not just about descent or darkness.
It’s about transmutation.

Persephone wasn’t just abducted.
She was initiated.
Not by choice but by soul contract.

What begins as loss becomes leadership.
What starts in silence becomes sovereignty.

Persephone stands at the crossroads of two worlds:
One of light, life, and blooming femininity.
The other of grief, stillness, and shadow.

And in her journey between the two,
she becomes something rare -
a woman who can hold both.

This is what I help my clients do.
To descend without losing themselves.
To rise without abandoning what they learned below.

Because most of the women I work with are not new to inner work.
They’ve done the therapy. Read the books. Attended the workshops. Written in their Shadow Work Journals.

But there is a deeper layer still — the soul layer. The underworld.

That’s the realm I walk them through.

Like Persephone, they are asked to shed old identities
– The good girl
– The overgiver
– The woman who performs to be chosen

And they’re invited to reclaim something more sacred:
– Their true voice
– Their sensual power
– Their wholeness, even when the world calls them too much

Healing isn’t about bypassing pain with positivity.
It’s about making love to the dark.
Softening into the wound.
Integrating the grief.

Not giving in to the wound but not pretending it isn’t there.

That’s how you create the Way.
Not through force.
But through remembrance.

As Persephone reminds us:
The key to freedom is loving yourself through every season 
even the barren ones.

Because it’s in those moments of surrender that something begins to grow.

You don’t have to choose between being soft or strong.
You don’t have to pretend the descent never happened.
You’re allowed to emerge… transformed.
